PPTP
- Wide range OS compatible and easy to use (Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS, routers, phones etc.)
- 128 bit MPPE encryption & MS-CHAPv2 authentication
- Suitable for VoIP
- Good speed and stability
- Easy to block / restrict
- Often troubles with router / modem / wireless device passthrough
L2TP over IPSec
- Some IPSec compatibility issues (doesn't work well on Windows XP and Linux)
- Strong AES 128bit & AES 256bit encryption provided by IPSec
- Suitable for VoIP
- Good speed and stability
- Easy to block / restrict
- Often troubles with Firewall / NAT passthrough of IPSec
- Often troubles with router / modem / wireless device passthrough
SSTP
- Windows 7 and later Windows systems only
- Mostly works when the other protocols are blocked
- Strong encryption provided by the TLS/SSL layer (same as HTTPS)
- Not suitable for VoIP as it use the TCP connection
- Lower speed and stability
- Very hard to detect the tunnel and hard to block or restrict
- We provide it on multiple TCP ports:
